Starting Off
When you enter the castle, go down the stairway and you'll come to a small room with two Beamos and a door. Run past the Beamos and open the door! You will see 6 Barriers covering the central tower of the castle. Before entering the central tower, you must dispel each of the barriers. First, head for the Spirit Room which is marked by a golden crest above the door. Find it to your left.
Spirit Barrier
In the first room, collect all the Silver Rupees to open the door. One of the rupees are above the Beamos so first, blow it sky-high with a bomb. After collecting all the Silver Rupees, the door opens. In the next room, kill the Torch Slugs and stand by the gate. Charge your sword up and let a spin attack go and it will hit the switch in behind. Get the Bombchus from the chest and use one to trigger the other switch. Line yourself up and let Bombchu go. Head into the next room and use a Fire Arrow to burn the web on the ceiling. Then, the light will shine in. Us e your Mirror Shield to reflect the light onto the sun plaques. For each one that burns, you must kill a Wallmaster! When you get the right one, the bars will raise from the doorway. Use a Light Arrow in the next room to take out the core of the Spirit Barrier. Nabooru will dispel the Spirit Barrier for you.
Forest Barrier
Defeat the Wolfos first. Light the first 4 torches using Din's Fire and use a Fire Arrow to light the one above the door. Enter the door and you'll be in a room with Giant fans, small platforms, and a Beamos on the middle platform. First, play the Song of Time to make a Time Block appear to your left. Get the Silver Rupee and then hover over to the platform on the left side of the room. Next, wait till the fan in the back-left corner of the room stops. Then, hover over to the small platform and trigger the switch to make the Hookshot target appear. Hookshot up and grab the Silver Rupee there. Head back to the platform with the switch. Hover to the platform on your right. You may want to kill the Beamos first! Hover over to the Beamos platform and over to the platform on the far right side of the room. Get the Rupee there and make your way to the platform with the door. Wait till the fan on your right stops moving and quickly hover over and get the final rupee. Head into the next room and shoot a Light Arrow at the core of the Forest Barrier. Saria will dispel the Forest Barrier.
Water Barrier
Watch out for the falling stalagmites! Slash the stalactites around the Blue Fire. Get a bottle of the Blue Fire and melt the red ice around the door. Kill all three Freezards to open the door. The chest to your left is a trap but the one to the right holds a recovery heart. Get a bottleof Blue Fire for the next room. In the next room, there are 2 ice blocks and a hole. Jump down and go to the second ice block. Push it towards the small "stopper" and then into the hole. Push the other block to the other side of the room and then to the left. Push it towards the niche with the red ice above. Climb up and melt the ice. Use the Megaton Hammer to pound the switch. Head into the final room and shoot a Light Arrow into the core to free Ruto. She will dispel the Water Barrier.
Shadow Barrier
This can be tough or simple. I'll tell you how to make it simple. In the large room, there are three unlit torches. One on the left, one on the right, and one on the north end of the room. Use your Longshot and target the torch to pull yourself over to the platform on the right side of the room. From there, you can see a Like- Like in the distance. Get as close to the edge of the small platform and target the Like-Like with your Longshot. Pull yourself over to it and quickly kill it! Light any of the three torches with a Fire Arrow and follow the path down to a chest on the right side of this platform. Trigger the switch and target the chest on the platform from which you came from. Open it to find the Golden Gauntlets! From there, use the Lens of Truth to see a hidden pathway on the left side of the platform. Walk along to get to a switch. Trigger the switch to open the door. Target the torch by the door and Longshot over to it. Enter the door and shoot a Light Arrow at the core. Impa will dispel the Shadow Barrier!
Fire Barrier
The Fire Room is the toughest yet. The main platform will sink when you walk on it so you have to be quick. Grab all the Silver Rupees to open the door. One rupee is underneath the crystal-shaped rock on the left side of the room. Use the power of the Golden Gauntlets to lift the rock and toss it to the other side of the room. It will create another platform so you can get a rupee from there too! Another rupee is on the platform with the rotating flames. The rest are out in the open. Once the door is open, hurry to the end of the main platform and Longshot over to the door. Shoot a Light Arrow into the core and Darunia will dispel the Fire Barrier.
Light Barrier
The entrance to the Light Room is hidden behind another crystal-shaped block. Toss it aside and enter the room. Use the Lens of Truth to reveal an invisible Skulltula and some Keese. Kill them all and a small chest will appear. Open it to find a small key. The chests around the edge are tapped! Head into the next room and stand on the Triforce Crest. Play Zelda's Lullaby to make a chest drop to your right. Open to get another small key. Unlock the door and head into the next room. Collect all Silver Rupees before the time is up. Longshot up to the ceiling for one of the rupees. In the next room, if you wait around for a few seconds, a Wallmaster will drop down. Don't wait though! Instead, run straight through the false wall and shoot a Light Arrow into the core. Rauru will dispel the Light Barrier.
Central Tower
Now that the barriers are dispelled, you have access to the tower! Before entering the tower, head back out of the castle and go down a path to the left and toss the crystal-shaped block out of the way. The entrance to the final Great Fairy lies behind it. The fairy will double your life energy! Now head back for the final battle. Head in and run up the stairs to the left. Avoid the Fire Keese and go through the door. Two Dinolfos wait here for you. They are advanced cousins of the Lizalfos. Lock onto one at a time and kill them both. Head through the door and walk up the stairs. In the next room, a ring of fire surrounds the chest holding the boss key. Two Stalfos pop up out of the ground. Kill them both and get the boss key.
Head up more stairs and into another room where two lifeless Iron Knuckles sit. Trigger them one at a time and kill them. When both are dead, head up to Ganondorf's chamber! Walk up tha stairs and you'll come to a room with a large pillar in the middle. Go in the door to your right. The hallway is very dark but as you near the top, it begins to glow. Go through the door and you will see Zelda imprisoned in the crystal above and organ...an organ which Ganondorf himself is playing! He turns around and talks a bit about the Triforce becoming one again. Navi tells you she can't help you so this means no Z-Targeting. Your life is filled just before the battle.
Great King of Evil:Ganondorf
Immediately run back towards the camera. Ganondorf will perform an "Earthquake" punch which knocks the first row of tiles around the middle pillar to the ground. Have your sword ready and face Ganondorf. He will shoot bolts of electricity at you like Phantom Ganon. Hit them back at him and when it finally hits him, quickly hit him with a Light Arrow! If you hit him, jump over to the central platform and slash him as much as possible! Jump back over to the side and repeat that process. When Ganondorf is nearly dead, he will try a new attack. He will form a black energy ball above his head and shoot multiple bolts at you. It is nearly impossible to avoid.. Before he shoots it, hit him in the head with a Light Arrow, jump or hover over and slash him until he dies. He will cough up some blood, destroy the cover on the tower, and fall dead in front of you. Zelda is lowered down safely and she says "Without a strong, righteous mind, he could not control the power of the gods." The tower begins to shake and Zelda tells you that Ganondorf is trying to crush you in the ruins with his dying breath.
